Lot Description:

Lionel O Gauge freight car collection featuring three colorful railroad favorites from the MPC era. This lot includes a Lionel 6-6115 Southern Railway Hopper Car, Lionel Southern 6207 Coal Hopper Car, and Lionel ATSF 7902 Santa Fe Box Car.

The two Southern Railway hoppers make an excellent coal and freight pairing, while the Santa Fe boxcar adds additional railroad variety and visual appeal to the consist. All three cars feature Lionel's durable construction, operating knuckle couplers, and classic railroad graphics that collectors and operators appreciate.

Whether you're expanding an operating layout, building a freight train consist, or adding to a Lionel collection, this three-car group offers a nice mix of western and southern railroads. Please review all photographs for condition, completeness, and overall appearance.

Notes for those interested in reading all content or just brave and curious:      As our typical protocol, we have tested most pieces listed in the auction and noted them as working or working but needs work.  We have done our best to check the functionality of the engines but we are NOT an authority on model trains or a professional model train repair operation, nor do we pretend to be.  Anywhere.....At all.  Therefore, all items still sell as-is, where-is with zero warranty or guarantee of fitness or function.  The buyer is solely responsible to visit pre-view and verify the functionality for themselves.  There is a testing station available on-site so you may have your minutes of fame as friendly train conductor.  Please note, any conductors are also welcome to shout out for joy when they see their future piece works as it should.  If these shout outs should include any "All Aboard" phrases, we will not be responsible for injuries resulting from people or animals piling ontop of the said train conductor or proxy there of, or resulting from anything at all for that matter.  The very one that we used and is in most of the pictures.  The test station will be listed and sold in the last auction. Although stored in a climate controlled environment, many for a long time, some may need cleaned, electrical contacts polished, dust bunnies blown out of electric motors, etc.  Many of these were Never ran by the owner as he purchased most simply for the collectiability.   His purchases included new, new old stock, lightly used, used, used - rolled down a hill and put away as such, custom pieces etc. -- you get the picture.  This stuff is VERY NICE but we still like to reinforce the auction disclaimer as some people just don't get life.  They want a steal of a deal.....and a warranty or guarantee.  ???? To our knowledge these words don't tend to be found together in any marketplace.  BUT, BUT, if anyone finds their togetherness in the retail world, that person should stay there, they have found their Fantasy land.  Maybe Fantasy Island with a short fellow yelling " Da plane, Boss, De Plane boss The rest of us will be fine living in reality without their unrealistic expectations.   If you wanta warranty and guarantee?   NO Problem!   Go buy the same thing, for a much higher price or msrp.  For the few that do not know this or have never fully ran an entire business operation on their own, the cost of a product, brought to market, includes SEVERAL factors.  One of these costs is figured on X amount of returns or warranty obligations and is included in the price of each and every item offered on a retail store.  We all pay it.  Just like 3% processing fees charged by credit card companies to process an electronic transfer of funds, we all pay it.  Because people inherintly like convenience, purchases using a card have reached to over 90% of retail sales.  The "convenience" or "fear" associated with carrying cash in a pocket, has unfairly forced the roughly 3%+/- cost of processing card transaction soley on the merchant without them having a say or any negotiations from the onset of these cards being marketed as fashionable to use.  Of course there are many other underlying reasons and agendas associated with this type of money transfers that only a government "that cares and takes care of you" could possibly understand but we dont have enough time or space here to get into that.  Please research for yourself.  In any case, we give you options and reward CASH here.  While newer rules are allowing retailers to charge for taking your card payment, we have Always rewarded good old fashion American currency.  American currency is defined as cash printed by the federal reserve, Not a form type of paper (or sheet of rubber for that matter) that you personally write in names, dates and amounts to form some sort of majic paper carpet get-away device.  We are sorry, but we do not trade goods for this type of paper.  Although commony referred to as a "check", we are not linked up with every financial institution in America to check the validity of any or all "checks".  Although we remain puzzled in many ways as to why somebody decided to refer to this type of document as a check, we come to undertsand the context they meant was as in a control mechanism to make sure nobody spent money they didn't have or alered an amount there of.   This though process defys any and all logic, reasoning, blah blah blah or sanity any person, with enough brain cells left to keep the heart and lungs pumping, could fathom.   Producing much the opposite effect, it allowed for people to fill out these "checks" as if they were living in that place we talked about earlier.   The check system was more likely designed by someone with a very long term plan to make $ off of you, a future plan to move everyone over to electroic or card transactions in order to monitor and possibly control all you do and buy (they can shut off your ability to do such by killing that card number, very simple now that they got you) OR the person was a TOTAL #$%@$! MORON. They were destined for that place where you buy things for rock bottom prices with full warranties and other guarantees that you make up as required.   Ahhh yes, once again we find ourselves in Fantasy Land.  The land of unreasonable expectations and the greatest place on earth to exchange a 2.75"x6', 3.5"x8.5" (possibly other) piece of paper for some real and valauable goods.  Its a great place to move if your buying.  We don't recommend sellers move here, they have been voted as most likely to broke and have lots of toilet paper.
